To kick off our year of fundraising, BAK foundation held their biggest and best event yet! 120 ladies joined us for a ladies only fundraising evening at Aagrah in Bradford, where they enjoyed an evening full of delicious food, games, and prizes.
This fundraiser was held in aid of Forget me not children’s hospice, a fantastic charity in our local area. Their work varies between making sure poorly children have a comfortable place to stay, assisting families with any support they may need and much more. They help to ensure that hundreds of families and children can stay comfortable and supported during the toughest of times each year, which is why BAK Foundation have made it a part of our mission to help them.
The evening was given the theme of “sparkle like a snowflake”, allowing many women to get together for the first time since the Covid pandemic hit to dress up and come together to raise money for a great cause.
We were extremely pleased to have had so many amazing prizes donated by local companies for our biggest charity auction yet. The auction consisted of 21 hamper prizes, including a bundle of Apple goodies, spa vouchers, laser hair removal treatments and more! It was great to see the competitive nature in many of our guests coming out all in the name of making a generous donation to a deserving charity. One lucky winner even managed to take home their very own mini Range Rover!
We managed to raise an amazing £5,718 which beat all of our previous fundraisers! What new targets can we set for ourselves this year? Stay tuned for updates on our next exciting event.
